The Centre for Health and Disability Assessments conducts health and disability assessments on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions. Working from a network of 11 Business Support Centres and 150 Assessment Centres, assessments are conducted in the main areas of Employment and Support Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Veterans UK and Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit. Our practitioner group includes employed nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and doctors.

Job Summary

To conduct new entrant HCP interviews alongside clinical and non-clinical colleagues and provide interviewing expertise across the region. Support the recruitment function as a subject matter expert for hiring clinical staff

Essential Job Duties

• Review suitability of candidates presented
• Assess applicants for positions within CHDA
• Conduct robust, thorough, competency based interviews face to face, remotely and via telephone
• Demonstrate best practice in professional interviewing technique
• Support, develop and motivate colleagues to deliver a high quality candidate experience
• Provide constructive feedback to recruiters and/or candidates following interviews
• Ensure excellence in all documentation
• Liaise with wider team to ensure business knowledge is kept up to date

Education and Experience Requirements

• Highly developed oral,written and non-verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• IT literate
• Professional interviewing skills
• Motivated and committed to achieve targets
• Flexibility and willingness to travel to a range of locations as the business requires (may require overnight stay) • Registered healthcare practitioner e.g. NMC / HCPC / GMC
• Experience of clinical interviewing
